Project: Williamsburg Pizzeria Place Mats
Info: 1247 place mats were donated to 3 pizzerias and 1 vegan restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The place mat was designed to provide historical and social dialogue between new and old residents of the neighborhood.
Process: The first 250 were cut out of newsprint by hand. Myself, and the merciful classmate that helped me finish these, had to listen to somebody edit a video project at 6:30 am with the same chorus line of a Christian rock song entitled “Seventh Heaven” repeatedly for 6 hours straight. I’m now convinced Seventh Heaven is the soundtrack of hell.
